Sanford Holst

Sanford Holst

A leading speaker about recapturing the joy of living, re-charging your life, and restoring the ambition to do something memorable. This includes enjoying your heritage and your life today.

Profile of Sanford Holst

Sanford Holst lives the life he urges listeners to seek:  where satisfaction, achievement and enjoyment find a way of coming together. Known primarily for his writing and inspiring talks, he is a well-regarded expert on different cultures around the world. This rich blend ranges from the Phoenicians and Greeks of antiquity to the Knights Templar and craftsmen of Europe, and onward to the societies we live in today.

His speaking engagements have taken him from Monterey, Cali- fornia in the West, to Fairfax, Virginia in the East -- plus many places in between -- as well as to Europe and Africa. In the USA he has appeared on over 200 radio talk shows and other media.

Like most people born during the Baby Boom years, Holst grew up surrounded by music and social involvement. The magazine he published put him even deeper into that whole culture as told here. Again like most of us, he then went into the working world. Putting everything into it, he got degrees from MIT and UCLA, then worked at a series of companies, including News Corp and DirecTV. While a vice-president at the Parsons headquarters in Pasadena, he was required to attend a self-awareness workshop, and it opened a new world. Other workshops followed, and it led to his exploration of yoga, alternative medicine, meditation, books by Wayne Dyer, and even a meeting with Deepak Chopra to discuss means of improving health. This in turn led to some of the first books that Holst wrote about things learned from other socities that can add vitality, texture and meaning to our own life.

Topics

Rediscovering the rich heritage that contributes to your quality of life -- the people, traditions and events that went before and shaped much of what you experience today.

Finding inspiration in life all around you, and becoming the source of inspiration for people who matter to you.
